BUNS BAR
a specialty Slider and Burger Bar serving one-of-a-kind Milkshakes, Craft Beer and Specialty Cocktails located in the heart of Chelsea. Owners Luke & Sam gave me the opportunity to design the logo and branding assets for the bar concept. We developed the strategy and I designed the logo, typefaces, signage, menus, business cards and custom neon light at the location.
IMAGERY & MOOD
The look & design of the branding is reflective of the bar's concept; chic, clean, modern and minimalistic. A simple black/white color scheme accompanied with chic, neue-style typefaces. The restaurant features clean, white subway-style tiles with clean but rustic hard wood flooring.
TYPE DESIGN
"Buns Bar Vintage" is a custom designed typeface for the menu categories. A cheeky, artsy, hand-drawn look to communicate the subtle playfulness of the bar's voice. After all, they're known for their over-the-top giant 50oz milkshakes and fun-creative menu items.
APPLICATIONS
I considered the places the logo and supporting designs will be placed; outdoor signage, food packaging, cocktail glasses, printed/digital menus, flyers, business cards and letterheads. I made sure everything worked well in black/white and small enough for printed menus.
